At least once you saw someone’s successful case, an interview with a “top” and thought – it’s cool how people can work.

An experienced affiliate understands that the publication of a profitable case is the end result. What is omitted: the spent budget for tests, failed attempts and other headaches. While a newcomer to the field, seeing only green lines, may think affiliate marketing= money; To whom submit the first deposit?

The question is – why are green statistics published, cases with a detailed description, creative images, and well-checked spelling? For motivation? For advertising? Do affiliates themselves want to share the results of their work, or is it possible (but this is not certain) that it is paid for? Maybe publishing cases is more profitable than launching?

In this article, we would like to discuss the uselessness of green statistics, trust in the publication of such cases in general, and, of course, the topic of “red” lines in the tracker, which is unpopular in affiliate circles.


Red cases - good!
Sharing unprofitable campaigns and red lines in the tracker is unpleasant for anyone - this is not accepted in our society, everyone may think that you are a loser. You need to have a lot of self-confidence to admit, Yes, it happens and this is not a failure, this is an opportunity to learn from mistakes and do it differently next time. There are so few real cases that it is even hard to believe in their publication. This is exactly what happened when, having once published on the AffLIFT forum, a screen of statistics, which can be seen below, we received a response:

What can we take from the "red" statistics?
  • First of all - understanding the necessary budgets to obtain objective statistics
  • See fluctuations in profit and once again confirm that the performance is not stable
  • Try to figure out which approach didn't work
  • See the “average” temperature is, and remember that from the general statistics it is possible and necessary to select zones for white-list campaigns
  • See the cost of traffic and understand what auction price range your current campaigns are in
  • See the amount of traffic your competitors are getting
Green cases
Due to the endless green cases and success stories, it may seem to a beginner that launching traffic is easy. All you need to do is go to the affiliate program, press three buttons and invest $50 to get $1000 (at least).
Disappointment is what happens after an encouraging start, when instead of +1500% ROI, beginner see red bars and negative ROI. It is easy to assume that the continuation of this attempt will be a thought: affiliate marketing is a scam, I wasted my money, they just dumped me, I will tell my friends that they would not even think about starting.
Why are they published?
Will you publish the results of even very successful companies? Or do you follow the policy of money-like silence? For example, if you are asked about this on a forum/event or by a colleague, to share a successful case (we do not deny the fact that there are communities in which people share their real results and discuss work).
But a more frequent option: "Yes, I will share if..", everyone has their own preferences: affiliate program, forum, community or advertiser will pay you for it, then the publication of profitable cases with associated advertising of affiliate programs, CPA networks, trackers, spy tools will become part of your profitable work.
Does it mean that everyone is lying?
Of course not. Nevertheless, according to our observations, affiliates who are busy with business, launching and making a good profit simply do not have time.
Including empty forum chatter, newbie questions from the series “what is better to launch”, and even more so on a detailed description of their campaigns with pictures. Those who have time to write articles, publish feedback and reviews, physically do not have time to test and launch campaigns.

In the world of successful success, it is very fashionable to tell how cool you are and how you made 100 thousand million in one day.
But we forget that we can repeat someone's success, successful offer, connection, etc. - impossible. But to learn from mistakes and do better in your own way is very possible.
Think, believe in yourself, look at the "right" cases, choose trusted partners, information channels and keep working.
